CMC Workforce’s mission is to establish career pathways through construction and into the middle class, from laborer to skilled trades, to foreman to professional.
CMC Workforce recruits and trains economically disadvantaged individuals in real world construction labor skills through intense classroom and on-the job apprenticeship training and then places them in full-time construction jobs in the skilled trade of their choice.
CMC Workforce’s initial career pathway through its unique Pre-Apprenticeship and Placement Programs creates a clear road to enter and advance in the construction industry. Unlike many training programs, our students must exhibit grit, determination and an unwavering drive to better themselves and their situation. We screen for individuals who are willing and able to dig deep and exhibit a high level of ownership for their life and outcomes. Our only job is to show them the way and provide resources.
How We Work
CMC Workforce partners with local community based organizations as sources of referrals of individuals for training and provide them with the social service supports they need throughout the two-year program commitment.
While we welcome all qualified applicants seeking to be trained for jobs in construction, our initial focus is providing Pre-Apprenticeship Training for specific pools of people in need, including:
Homeless persons
Previously incarcerated persons
Non traditional learners
Veterans
